To see if they really work, I took them where no senior would normally go: the Veterans Memorial Skating Rink in West Hartford, CT. The results?

  • The socks provided noticeable grip even on the ice — far more than regular socks.
  • While not meant for outdoor skating, they proved that everyday kitchen or bathroom floors are no match for these grips.
  • Most importantly: I stayed upright!

Back on solid ground, I tested them where seniors need them most: at home.

  • On hardwood and tile floors, the grip was strong and reliable.
  • They were easy to slip on while sitting on the sofa, thanks to the wide opening.
